STATISTICS OF PERFORMANCE SO FAR

  1. Collected 189 Corneas and helped to restore vision in 124 corneally blind persons.
  2. Conducted 135 Audiovisual Programmes for various sections of society of society as part of awareness creation.
  3. Participated in public functions Fetes, Jataras at sports grounds in general Exhibitions, Melas etc. to interact and educate people, so far conducted 36 programmes.
  4. Two work shops conducted to Doctors and hospital administrators on “Corneaal Blindness & Cornea retrieval process and motivation.
  5. CME Programme to Eye Specialists in costal A.P. regarding “Eye Banking, Corneal Processing and Keratoplast Surgery”.
  6. Successful conducted various programmes as mentioned above with special thrust in the specified “Eye Donations Fortnights” in September 8th each year in these 3 years as per the “eye bank association of India” activities all over the country.
  7. Motivated the public in involving them in our activities by becoming “friends of Eye Bank” totaling 570 so far.
  8. Motivate various organizations and establishments to provide funds & publicity through hording, T.V.advertisements, News paper, publications, Cinema Slides, stickers, brouchers etc.
  9. Entered into an M.O.U. with King George Government Hospital, Visakhapatnam and other hospitals in carrying our “Hospital Cornea Retrieval Programme(HCRP)”.
  10. We have one information centre at Govt. King George Hospital premises.
  11. The Department of Income Tax is pleased to give 80G facility to all financial Donor’s to our trust. Our appeal to all is to help in helping us in the corneally blind people by becoming friends of Eye Bank or sponsor our programmes on yearly basis or a specific activity.
  12. The Govt. of India, Department of Home affairs registered our trust under Foreign Contribution(Regulation) Act(FCRA).
  13. All Tissues(Corneas) are utilized locally for patients belonging to Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East Godavari and West Godavari Districts and helped corneally blind patients to vision restoration.
